Mazatlán a fan of possibilities

The news could not be better, first the real estate boom in the city and now Mazatlan´s presence in the real estate fairs in the USA. There is a whole range of possibilities and the historic opportunity of bringing people’s eyes to Mazatlan not just as their second home.
The adventure started recently with participation of Mazatlan in the Mexico travel expo for the first time, in April, with the attendance of the most important real estate companies from USA. As a result of this first meeting 100 brokers were contacted, to have them offer the advantages of living in Mazatlan, its location, climate, beaches, celebrations, people, historic center, among other things.
Good news do not end there, with an investment over 2,066 million pesos and the beggining of 46 projects this year, the expectations for Mazatlan are very high, and thanks to this and alternative and diverse tourism a favorable impact is influencing other areas like the agriculture.
An extra option besides sun and beach is rural tourism, supported by the state and municipal governments with infrastructure, benefiting our community’s growth.

- Launching of the Emporio trademark (Hotel Riviera before) in late May
- June 22nd rehabilitation of 50 rooms in the Posada Freeman Hotel in the Golden Zone
- The first stone of the Crown Plaza hotel, a grand tourism hotel, in June, the project involves 600 rooms.
- Opening of 9 holes in the Marina Mazatlan golf course in Fall 2006
