During your journey through Mazatlan, have someone take your picture in front of the monument of your choice: La Mujer Mazatleca – The Mazatlan Woman, La Sirena – The Mermaid, Monumento a la Vida – Monument to Life, Monumento al Pescador – Monument to the Fisherman, Al Centenario de Cervecería del Pacifico – To Cerveceria del Pacifico’s Hundredth Anniversary, to the Pulmonia, Milenio or Familia Mazatleca – Millennium or Mazatlecan Family, Pergola Paseo del Centenario – Paseo del Centenario Lookout Tower, Monumento al Venadito – Monument to the Little Deer, The Sinaloa and Mazatlan Coat of Arms, and Glorieta Sanchez Taboada (a cliff from which intrepid men dive dangerously into the sea.

Cathedral (Basilica) of the Immaculate Conception
Architectural jewel founded in the 18th century, considered one of the most beautiful in northwest Mexico. It is located at the heart of Mazatlan’s commercial center.
Iglesia de San José:
It is the oldest temple in Mazatlan, dating back to the early 18th century. The religious congregation of Carmelitas Descalzas was in charge of the construction of this beautiful church.
The Pino Suárez Municipal Market
A fascinating tourist attraction where visitors can spend some time and get to know the essence of Mazatlecans; a place where you can purchase everything from a handcrafted gift, to any type of food. “Those of visit Mazatlan and do not pay a visit to the Market, do not know Mazatlan at all.
OLD MAZATLAN
Ángela Peralta Theater
Domicilio: Carnaval No. 1204 Col. Centro.Tel: 982-44-46 y 982-44-47 Horario: 8:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m. The APT was splendidly re-inaugurated on October 23, 1992. Since that date, this beautiful, centenary place has constantly staged important cultural and artistic events like the Jose Limon Festival, the Sínaloa Arts Festival, and the Mazatlán Cultural Festival. The Angela Peralta Theater is a place where all kinds of cultural events can be enjoyed all year round.
The Municipal Arts Center
Domicilio: Carnaval s/n Centro (entre Constitución y Libertad) Tel: 982-44-46 y 982-44-47 Horario: 8:00 a.m. a 9:00 p.m. Hundreds of Mazatlecans and foreigners have made careers out of the different disciplines being taught here: painting, sculpture, literature, different genres of dance, theater, and music. By means of the Municipal Arts School, children, adolescents, and adults are motivated to embrace culture as an important part of their lives.
Archeological Museum.

Art Museum
Domicilio: Sixto Osuna y V. Carranza Col. Centro Horario: Mar-Vier. De 10 a.m a 2 p.m y 4 a 7 p.m, Sap y Dom. De 10 a.m a 2 p.m. Tel: 985-35-02 y 981-55-92. Where the work of the most important national and international fine artists is exhibited. It also stages different cultural events.
Casa Machado
Domicilio: Constitución #79 Centro Histórico. Tel: 982-14-40 Horario: 10:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m. Todos los días. Tells us about the way of life of 19th century families.
Plazuela Machado
It was built in 1837, sponsored by Mr. Juan Nepomuceno Machado, from the Philippines. In the old days, it was a place where Mazatlecan families would meet and hold social activities. Nowadays, it is a very important meeting place during carnival times, when a gastronomic display on behalf of Mazatlan’s main restaurants takes place. All year round, different cultural activities such as book fairs and pictorial exhibitions, among other activities, take place in this small plaza.
Portales de Canobbio
This building was the seat of numerous business establishments and of the Bank of London and Mexico. Recently, it has been under complete restoration, with the objective of conserving its original structure. In its top floor, a museum has been established with furniture from the 19th and early 20th centuries, reminding us of the way of life of ancestry families of that period. The bottom floor holds several galleries and a restaurant.
