This October 12th. the Mexican Pacific League Starts Up

The Mexican Pacific Baseball League is about to get under way and so the Mazatlan Venados are preparing in their attempt to win their third championship in a row.  Teodoro Mariscal Stadium is almost ready to receive the Venados’ fervent fans who hope that the Venados can make it to The Caribbean Series in Puerto Rico.

Activities of the fans will begin with a mass held for the team in the cathedral on October 10 at 5:00 PM followed by the traditional parade along the malecon in which hundreds of fans turn out.  For the first game on October 12th there will be a spectacular dance show and a dazzling light show.

The game will be a clash between two long time rivals, the Venados and the Culiacan Tomateros and will be followed by two more games over the weekend, assuring lots of emotion and adrenaline for lovers of baseball.

Venados de MazatlánAmong the new things that fans will find at the stadium will be the placement of liquid plasma televisions in the eating area and giant screen televisions along the central esplanade.  This will surely enhance viewing for the fans.

You will also be able to buy a silver card and get lots of benefits such as your own box seat.  You can set a card aside with a down payment of 200 pesos until the 30th of September.

For further information you can call 981-1710 or go to the Venado offices located at 821 Ave. Gutierrez Najera.  They are open from 8:00 to 1:00 and from 3:00 to 6:00 every day except Sunday.  On Saturday they are open from 8:00 to 1:00.
