Restaurant La Marina El Cid is an excellent place with an international menu that satisfies all tastes. It is a comfortable place with a European style that reminds us of the French Riviera. You can listen to the melodious offerings of a guitar trio while you enjoy the food and marvel at the breathtaking view of the marina.
It opened in November of 1995 and ever since has distinguished itself by its array of international food, putting emphasize on Mexican specialty food that features new creations each season.
The Mexican tequila lobster stands out, as well as the turkey with mole. The “marmitaco” fish is one of the specialties of the chef, along with chicken stuffed with corn mushrooms in a corn sauce. There is also an excellent milk chicken that comes with a succulent sauce and beet salad with a citrus fruit base.
There is live music from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursdays through Sundays, lovely live harp music on Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights and a musical duet each Friday night.
The strong point of the restaurant is without doubt the Sunday brunch that really is a true food fiesta that is difficult to resist. Such Mexican dishes as menudo, eggs any style, squash flower quesadillas, ceviche, chorizo or mushrooms with potatoes are available. International dishes such as paella, smoked salmon, Serrano ham and breaded sushi. There is also an energy juice bar with shakes and fresh fruit for those who like to watch the waistline.
There is a remodeling project lined up at the restaurant Marina El Cid that is scheduled to run from September to October. The idea is to modernize the façade and give it a new look without losing the original concept. There will be an elevator for handicapped people.
