¿How to Get to Mazatlan? |
Mazatlán is Sinaloa and Mexico The city of Mazatlan, a true Mexican paradise, is located in north western Mexico. It is located in an enigmatic zone where other particular attractions are found such as the crystalline Sea of Cortez (also called the Gulf of Mexico) and legendary western Sierra Madre mountain range. One could say that Mazatlan is the entrance to the gulf due to the rugged country elsewhere along the coast. Mazatlan is part of the rich and blessed state of Sinaloa and is the biggest city in the southern part of the state and the second biggest in the entire state. It is home to many natural, artificial and human attractions and is located just 12 miles south of the imaginary line of the Tropic of Cancer (between longitude 105° 31’ and 106° 31’ west of Greenwich and at a latitude of 23° 52’) Accessibility: Mazatlan is one of the few beach destinies in Mexico that offers every possible medium of transportation. From airplanes to the railroad to an enormous ferry to modern buses, they are all here in Mazatlan. And if you choose to drive your own car, there are modern and safe freeways with reasonable tariffs available. By Road : Highway 15 from Nogales--- this highway gives you the opportunity to connect with many other stretches of the national freeway system. The countryside and contrasts that you will encounter will make for an enjoyable trip and you can choose to travel by the modern toll roads or by the older free roads which will take you off the beat path.
The Pan-American Highway (Mexican Highway 40) --- this is the highway that will connect you to the north and north-east of Mexico and it is full of contrasts. For example, the stretch from Mazatlan to Matamoros has every kind of scene imaginable from the arid desert to the high mountains to the coastal plains of the south of Sinaloa. Again, there are either toll roads or free highways. Air : Mazatlan is within reach of anywhere on the planet. The principal international connections go to Mexico City and Los Angeles, California, USA and from there you can get anywhere. National airlines such as Aeromexico, Mexicana or Aero California connect Mazatlan with anywhere in the country. Flys
Railroad: (currently there is no passenger service available). We are expecting some visionary investors to decide that connecting Mazatlan to the rest of the country by railroad makes good business sense. There is already an extensive railroad network in place and some have had great success such as the Pacific-Chihuahua railroad from Los Mochis to the famous Copper Canyon and the National Railroad in Guadalajara. Mazatlan has had railroad service before and it was fantastic. We invite somebody to invest in this option.
