From the depth of Mexico

For those who have visited Mazatlan, you might happen to know Parque Machado, if not, let me tell you it's a very colorful - eurpoean style park - located downtown.
Around half a block away from this beautiful place, walking oposit to the colonial and classic theatre "Angela Peralta", there are these two beautiful galleries.
In the first one, you can find beautiful original (unexpensive) paintings of local paintors, and in the second, you can find very old and rare latin books.
The strange thing about all this is that, in the front wall of the second gallery, you can observe an inscription citing Anaïs Nin (remember Henry Miller ?)and leading you to think about love, sex and death.
Imagine my surprise when I found that the next place was this little and warm local called "La Tertulia", a place that mix love and death, since it is a thematic bar involving bullfighting, the ultimate love-death activity as seen by mexicans.
It's the "club house" of the original FORCADOS from Mazatlán and it is full of very meaninguful bullfignting items including personal souvenirs from the owners.
The foracados are a sort of ancient warriors that confront the bull (metaphorically) bare naked; this is, no swords, no horses, no armors, just the plain body.
It is really a very interesting place even if you are not into bullfighting, due to the sorrouding enviroment which lead you into stories of love, passion and "possibly" death of a bullfighter in love.
Colorful, peculiar, embrassing and most of all friendly enviroment, which lead you to have a nice mojito, a Pacifico beer or just plain water, but most of all to observe, absorb and live the atmosphere which may leade you to appreciate the depth of the mexican passion... very difficult to leave.
Be there, enjoy the enviroment and let yourselves be transported to an original bullfight like in the old times
