El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel, Cozumel, We are Open!

COZUMEL, México (Abril 2006) - El Cid Resorts recently re-opened La Ceiba Beach Hotel in Cozumel, Mexico, this past April 8, 2006, after an extensive renovation due to Hurricane Wilma-related damages last fall.
The popular beachfront hotel was fully remodeled, using the highest standards of excellence. All common areas - including oceanfront restaurants and bars, pools, beaches and elevators - were rebuilt from scratch. Room interiors were refurbished as well, providing all guests with brand new appliances and furnishings that further highlight the hotel’s new upscale, minimalist style.
"Guests of El Cid La Ceiba have now the chance to experience the difference immediately", notes Carlos Berdegue, CEO of El Cid Resorts. "We raised the level of quality in all areas of the hotel - accommodations, amenities and personal service."
The re-opening of El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel also featured several additions for its guests. Resembling a majestic pyramid, the new 200-seat restaurant, La Chopa, serves international cuisine in a casual, upscale Caribbean atmosphere. Sixty spacious suites, decorated in a contemporary style, were also included to the hotel’s already luxurious accommodations. Other recently-added features include a gym area with state-of-the-art equipment, a new dive shop and docks, a tide pool with cascading waterfalls and a bar adjacent to the pool side Jacuzzi.
For ultimate rest and relaxation, guests now can enjoy the Mayan-influenced Temazcal sauna, as well as new massage cabins and tents.
